Anne Tashi Slater
Monday, April 6th
at the Crow Museum of Asian Art at UTD
In a world where nothing lasts forever, how do we live? Ann Tashi Slater will discuss her book, Traveling in Bardo: The Art of Living in an Impermanent World, an exploration of how we can find meaning and happiness in a world where the only certainty is change. Interweaving reflections on marriage and friendship, parents and children, and work and creativity with stories of her Tibetan ancestors and Buddhist teachings on the fleeting nature of existence, Slater gives us a bold new framework for navigating life’s inevitable transitions. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
Ann Tashi Slater's work appears in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, The New York Times, Literary Hub, Guernica, Granta, and elsewhere.
